History behind Gerber Knives.

Did you know Gerber first made the single blade knife in 1910. By making Kitchen Knives for friends and clients for the holidays. He made and mailed out 24 sets, They were hand made and became very popular, with then catalog retailer Abercrombie and Fitch requesting, more of these knives the Rest is History. and the Gerber legacy began. In 1939 Gerber set out on there own founded in Portland Oregon and moved there headquarters to Trigard Oregon and to this day employs approx. 300 employees. The Gerber LHR Combat Knife, Gerber LMF II are there most common knives and first designed by Gerber and are still to this day very popular especially with hunting and fishing.
